On Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 1:30 PM, the Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor Seniors and Jewish Family and Children’s Services invite you to join them as they explore “Opera and the Tanach: Bereshit”.
This meeting will explore how music and text are used in opera to bring Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel and their wives to life on the operatic stage. In addition to listening to operatic excerpts, a discussion and comparison of the operatic versions with the traditional texts will be facilitated by Dora Schnur, Ph.D.
