On Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 7:30 pm, the Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor Women’s League presents, The University of Shtisel, A Conversation.

Shtisel, the hit Netflix show about a fictional Haredi family living in Jerusalem centers around the black-hatted ultra-Orthodox community, but its themes are universal.

Join us for a recorded conversation between international actress Ayelet Zurer, who plays Elisheva in the series, and renowned educator Layah Lipsker, highlighting the appeal, authenticity, and meaning of the show.

This one-hour video was originally presented by the Friends of Jordan River Village, a year-round camp for children with disabilities, located in the Lower Galilee region of Israel.
