Enjoy Cool Women reading new poems and poems from Cool Women Volume 7 at the Lawrenceville Branch of the Mercer County Library on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 6:30 pm. Refreshments will follow a lively reading featuring the 10-poet poetry critique and performance group, who have been meeting for almost 30 years. Their performance will link the poems in a poetic jazz performance which all should enjoy. The theme for this reading is Fall Forward, Smile Back. The members [Gretna Wilkinson, Sharon Olson, Maxine Susman, Judy Rowe Michaels, Juditha Dowd, Lois Marie Harrod, Joyce Greenberg Lott, Eloise Bruce, Betty Lies, Penelope Scambly Schott] are widely published individually and as a group (7 anthologies and 2 CDs of their work). Come and enjoy the performance—listen, love and laugh. You will leave, affirming language and life.
