Gallery on Main’s “Artist Of the Month” series continues with paintings by New Jersey-based artist Christine Ochab-DiCostanzo. Admission is free, and the artist’s work is available for purchase.
Meet the artist at a free opening reception on Saturday, September 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Christine Ochab-DiCostanzo works in a number of media, including oils, watercolors, pastels, charcoal and graphite. Most recently, she has been working in oil paints, in a loose, emotive style. She enjoys painting many different subjects, from plein-air landscapes painted outdoors, in the open air, to portraits.
Over the past year, she has created an imaginative “Tree People” series through which she expresses love and strength. Some of these are included in the exhibition.
In addition, Christine has done many commissioned artworks, capturing people’s weddings, pets, homes and important memories.
Christine Ochab-DiCostanzo grew up and spent her first 30 years of life in Dunellen. She studied at DuCret School of Art in Plainfield, and has since moved to Ringoes. Locally, she has done many solo art shows, and participates in art exhibits throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Face masks and social distancing are recommended.
