Part 1: Digital Camera Essentials

We’ll introduce you to the essential functions of your digital camera, including shooting modes, shutter speed, aperture and ISO, and explore how to think about taking a picture you’ll be proud to share. We encourage you to attend Parts 2 and 3 to advance your ability to take better pictures.
Part 2: In-Person Learning and Practice, Princeton, NJ
Saturday, December 4, 2021, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (rain date December 5)
This session provides invaluable hands-on guidance. Ask questions, make mistakes, your instructor is there to teach you what you need to know to make the pictures you envision. Students who are unable to attend this in-person session will receive photography assignments to complete at the end of Part 1.
Part 3: Composition, Lighting and Photo Review

Tuesday, December 7, 2021, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm EST
Our final session is a review of photos you took when you attended Part 2/completed your assignments. In this session, we will delve into composition, subject, scene and lighting by looking at the role of these critical elements in making your images as good as they can be.
