A Different Kind of Psychiatry Case Presentation Series Webinar with Jackie Bosworth, M.D. and interviewer/host Chris Burritt. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

This webinar is free to attend and will last approximately one hour. You will have the opportunity to ask questions by on-line chat.

Drew was an 18-year adolescent in residential treatment since the age of 13, having failed previous placements because of her aggressive and violent behavior, as well as her impulsivity. She was initially mistrustful and extremely reluctant to talk about herself with Dr. Bosworth or anyone. Dr. Bosworth was able to meet Drew where she was, both figuratively and literally, and this helped open the door of meaningful communication and create a positive bond. That, coupled with Dr. Bosworth’s understanding of her patient’s inability to express intense rage, went a long way toward helping Drew see alternatives to her self-destructive behavior.

We hope you will join us to learn more about how Dr. Bosworth utilized medical orgone therapy to assist Drew in learning to manage her destructive impulse and how this treatment differs from the mainstream psychological approach of using coping mechanisms and advising patients to control their emotions.

The webinar will be facilitated by Zoom and will last approximately one hour. Attendance is free. Registration is required.
