Lecture: Why We Love Opera

Drawing primarily on the wide-ranging operatic repertoire presented by The Princeton Festival over the years, this presentation by Professor Timothy Urban will highlight some of opera’s most dramatic and heart-wrenching moments explaining why, for many, opera is the perfect art form. The prerecorded lecture will be streamed beginning Thursday, June 4, at 9 a.m. at https://princetonfestival.org/digital-event/why-we-love-opera-lecture. The digital lecture is a component of “Virtually Yours,” a full month of digital content featuring many of the talented artists and lecturers who have appeared at The Princeton Festival.
