Princeton Photo Workshop: The Fine Art of Professional Model Photography

Work with a model in a controlled lighting situation using natural light indoors. The class is held in a spacious room lit from above by an expansive skylight at one of America’s oldest artists’ clubs. We will study the figure in various poses — standing, seated, and reclining. Students are invited to bring props and accessories. We’ll begin by discussing camera settings and composition to create images with a fine art sensibility. Each student will each have the experience of posing and directing our model. By the time the class concludes, you will have the confidence to set up and take more interesting pictures of people.
