Jersey City Free Public Library celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month in April. Jazz is an original classical art form created in the United States that was born out of the Black community and was shared with the entire world. Jazz was born out of struggle and evolved to become an art form that ensures everyone’s voice will be heard. One could even say that Jazz is a Perfect Democracy.

The show opens to the public on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Miller Library Branch, located at 489 Bergen Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304. This event is outdoors, free, and open to the public.

Founder of Walk_Bye, Catalina Aranguren, has always been inspired by the power of art to transform and connect us. The pandemic has allowed for her to share her artwork virtually in other countries including Sweden, UK, Hungary and Spain. Art has become a way to continue to connect to others during a time when we all feel so suddenly disconnected from the outside world. The human element is severely missing, what we all really need right now — connection to others outside the virtual. Learn more: https://www.walkbye.net
