Harlingen Church, located on Rt 206 South and Dutchtown-Harlingen Rd, will be participating in “Somerset County’s Weekend Journey through the Past” on Saturday, 10/12, 10:00 – 5:00 & Sunday, 10/13, 12:00 – 4:00. Also open this year for the first time is the church’s 1846 Parsonage at 34 Dutchtown-Harlingen Rd. The Reformed Dutch Church of Harlingen, better known today as Harlingen Reformed Church, is a member of the oldest continuous Protestant denomination in the US dating to 1628. It has one of the oldest continuing congregations in NJ starting in 1726. Come check out nearly 300 years of written history. Come see and hear (10/13, 1:00 – 1:30) our over 900 pipe organ. There will also be Dutch “cakes” (cookies)!
