The Stop the Bleed initiative was created after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings by the American College of Surgeons, and others. This 1-hour class will teach you how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively. No matter how fast the arrival of a first responder, whether to an accident scene, a mass shooting, or other act of violence, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, so it’s important to know how to quickly STOP THE BLEED. Registration is required. Class size is limited.
