VCNJ invites all singers to join us for an open summer sing featuring selections from our 2024-2025 repertoire including excerpts from the Requiems by Mozart and Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia, who was the first to conduct the Mozart in Brazil and who also modeled his own Requiem on Mozart’s.
Scores will be provided, and light refreshments and ice cream will be served.
It’s an opportunity to sing both well-loved and new music, meet our director, Dr. David A. McConnell, and learn some fascinating history and context about the compositions. Meet other singers and consider setting up an audition to join us.
Those interested in joining Voices Chorale NJ may audition that evening. All voice parts are welcome to audition, but tenors and bass/baritones are especially encouraged.
