– The Acme Screening Room announces the first annual Lambertville Halloween Film Festival will be held October 20-23, 2022.
Film submissions are open now until September 4 on the site Film Freeway. We are accepting films that evoke the themes of the Halloween season, anything from creepy thrillers and paranormal investigations, to classic horror.
The festival will open with a Masquerade Party Thursday evening October 20 with live entertainment and prizes for best costumes. Film screenings will begin Friday afternoon and will run all day Saturday with the Awards Ceremony Saturday evening at 8pm. Vendor slots are still open as part of the Fall Festival at Lambertville Station. Saturday afternoon will feature a demonstration by a professional special effects makeup artist, whose model will be chosen by raffle the day of the event. Lambertville Historical Society will be hosting a Lambertville Ghost and History tour at 5pm. Sunday will include a children’s craft activity, and a screening of the documentary “Halloweenville”, highlighting the amazing decorations throughout the town of Lambertville, made by local filmmaker Garry Cohen. Gary will join us for a QnA. The award winners of the Festival will be screened Sunday afternoon.
