In January, a seat on the board opened when Kimberly Eydelman resigned from the panel. District administrators invited interested residents to apply to fill the vacancy. On March 2, Tan and John Camera were interviewed in public session.

On March 16, board members appointed Tan and she was sworn in to begin serving a term that will end in January 2017. The seats held by Tan, Danielle Alpaugh and Jacquelyn Hoagland will be on the ballot in November.

“I am grateful the board members selected me to serve with them,” Tan said. “After my last term ended, I missed being at the table and contributing to the community. I am delighted to be back.”

Board President Dr. Kimberly Raymond announced that Tan would serve on the Buildings and Grounds/Safety and Security Committee and on the Communications Committee.
