Construction work on Texas Road begins

OLD BRIDGE – Woodhaven Village contractors’ Hutton Construction, Co. will begin Phase 1 improvements to the intersection of Texas Road and Route 527 beginning this week.

The project will last approximately three months.

The widening of Texas Road from Old Bridge-Englishtown Road (Route 527) to Murray Drive will require intermittent roadway closure from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays, according to a statement prepared by the Old Bridge Police Department. Texas Road will be detoured onto Murray Drive to Cannon Road to Old Bridge-Englishtown Road (Route 527).

Texas Road will be open at all other times and during weekday events at Old Bridge Raceway Park, according to police.
