The Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) has recently unveiled a job postings page on its website, www.mciauth.com.
The MCIA, which oversees four golf courses, two nursing homes, open space acquisitions, economic development, the regional food pantry, pooled financing programs and curbside recycling, counted more than 500 employees on its direct payroll roster as of January.
“The authority plays an important role in our residents’ everyday lives,” said Middlesex County Freeholder Deputy Director Carol Bellante, liaison to the MCIA. “As such, we have employees across numerous disciplines, ranging from groundskeepers to nurses to administrative assistants.”
Nearly 80 percent of the authority’s staff clock in at the county-owned Roosevelt Care Centers in Edison and Old Bridge. These sister campuses provide long-term, subacute and respite care to the region.
In a collaborative approach, Middlesex County has partnered with the MCIA to place a link to Roosevelt’s employment opportunities on its highly-trafficked website as well.
“This is a great way to cover more ground on the information superhighway,” said Roosevelt Care Center at Old Bridge Administrator Alan Fialka. “We are constantly on the lookout for experienced medical professionals. So if we can tap into the County website’s audience to spread the word to an even greater pool of candidates, that’s all the better.”
Management at the MCIA’s golf courses, including Tamarack in East Brunswick, The Meadows at Middlesex in Plainsboro and Raritan Landing in Piscataway, are currently launching their annual search for seasonal workers.
Any golf openings will be posted on the MCIA’s website in the coming days.
“The peak of our season is right around the corner,” said MCIA Director of Golf Rod Brennan. “We have seasonal positions we’re routinely looking to fill.”
