Nora Mullen, 92 Nora Mullen, age 92, a longtime resident of Mercer County died peacefully at her home in Hopewell Township on April 9, 2016. Born in Hanley, England, one of Arnold Bennett’s “Five Towns”, and the center of England’s pottery industry, Nora learned to decorate Spode China as a young girl. When war came she joined the Women’s Land Army to help feed the nation while men were away fighting. After the war she came to America and met and married her husband and truly became his life’s companion for 61 years. With their children they traveled the length and breadth of America and later in England “From Lands End to the Wall”. Nora loved to find pieces of the English China she grew up amongst. In addition to her husband she leaves behind a son Paul Mullen, daughter Mrs. Olivia Bergner, their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services took place 11 am Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Rd., Pennington, NJ 08534 with Rev. Daniel Casselberry, pastor of the Pennington United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was private.
