Freehold native Lauren Davidson will return to the area for two performances in July – one in Freehold Township and one in Point Pleasant.

Davidson, a singer-songwriter who has been performing professionally since the age of 10, said her greatest joy “is being on stage and sharing the music (I create) in collaboration with many of the finest musicians working today.”

She said her influences fall across many genres of music including rock, pop, contemporary country and jazz.

Davidson has opened for national country acts including LOCASH, Outshyne, Olivia Lane and most recently Justin Moore at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville.

She will be headlining the State Fair at the Meadowlands on July 5, supporting CMA artist Jessie Chris at iPlay America, Freehold Township, on July 7, and opening for Steve Moalker at Jenks Club, Point Pleasant, on July 27.

In addition to her solo career, Davidson tours as the female lead singer with Big Hix, a contemporary country tribute band. She recently co-wrote and recorded a country-themed jingle for a New Jersey company that aired on WKMK-FM, Thunder 106. She is working on her first LP of original songs, according to a press release.
