Information about the program on Bruschi’s website states that “music plays such a critical part of every film, whether it is in the background or part of the story line. But in this case, the songs that were selected by the American Film Institute as the best songs from the movies are the ones that most of us remember even after the movie is over. These songs became a part of our culture and continue to be recorded as standards by many recording artists.”

Bruschi will discuss highlights from the films and offer some movie trivia and information about the songwriters, and about the recording artists and actors who sang the songs.

He will perform songs including “Over the Rainbow,” “As Time Goes By,” “Moon River” and “The Way We Were.”

Bruschi has been a college instructor, training consultant, author and speaker for more than 25 years. He currently teaches part time at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Bruschi teaches public speaking and small group communications.

His website states that “as a result of his teaching at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and his involvement in the continuing studies area, he has created a variety of musical programs that are sometimes referred to as ‘edu-tain-ment.’ It is a mixture of education and entertainment rolled into one.”
