At approximately 10:46 a.m. on Dec. 2, the Metuchen Police Department received a call about the robbery, according to Police Sgt. Arthur Flaherty.

The suspect, who is described as a white male with an average built between 40 to 50 years old, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, entered the bank and went directly to the teller, police said.

The suspect then allegedly handed the teller a note, which stated “This is a robbery, give me everything you have, I am armed,” according to police.

The teller proceeded to give the suspect cash from his top drawer. The suspect took the cash along with the note and fled out the bank rear door. A weapon was never revealed, police said.
