Manalapan group will benefit from spring cleanup

MANALAPAN – The Manalapan Medical Reserve Corps-Community Emergency Response Team (MRC-CERT) is sponsoring a drop-off for clothing and household items from 9-11 a.m. May 20 at the municipal building, Route 522.

MRC-CERT will receive a payment from a vendor for the items that are collected, according to a press release.

The following items may be dropped off: all articles of clothing, garments and accessories; shoes; stuffed animals; linen, including towels, sheets, blankets, small rugs and mats; bicycles; small electric appliances (but not computers and the like); costumes, wigs and hats; some small furniture.

The following items will not be accepted: books, computers, printers, tires, batteries, mattresses, TVs, VHS tapes, CDs, DVDs, car seats, strollers, highchairs, playpens or toys.
