The debate between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton over the U.S. Constitution will be dramatized at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Symmes Drive, Manalapan, at 2 p.m. April 23.

The American Historical Theatre of Philadelphia, which has created performances for the Smithsonian Institution and the History Channel in addition to many other theaters, will present “The Great Debate,” featuring Steve Edenbo and Eben Kuhns as the two founding fathers embroiled in opposing interpretations of what the Constitution says about states’ rights and national rights, according to a press release.

The organization gives viewers an opportunity to see how and why specific events have taken place in the nation’s history.
