A local history digital archives workshop will be held between 2-3 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Avenue.
Tyreen Reuter, director and newsletter editor of the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society will speak about the new digital archives available through the library website.
The library was able to begin digitizing it’s collection of old microfilms and newsprint through a cultural arts grant from the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, NJ Historical Commission and Middlesex County Office of Culture and Heritage.
The workshop is open to all who are interested. For any questions call 732-632-8526.
