NORTH BRUNSWICK – During the next several weeks, police officers will concentrate their efforts on safe driving habits.

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is not only about the enforcement of New Jersey’s drunk driving laws but also about educating the public about the dangers of driving while impaired and the importance of “Choosing Your Ride,” according to information provided by the North Brunswick Police Department.

The “Choose Your Ride” vehicle is half police car, half taxi – a memorable way to remind drivers about the expense of drunken driving and the benefit of using alternative transportation if they are impaired, according to the statement.

The North Brunswick Township Police Department is asking residents to not drink and drive, to appoint a designated driver and to drive sober.
