Community members of all ages participated in a 3K walk for Caribbean hurricane relief on Nov. 30 at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft.

All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity’s ongoing efforts to restore housing in Caribbean islands impacted by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.

The 3,000-meter walk traversed Brookdale’s 220-acre flagship campus, beginning at the college’s Student Life Center building.

For more information  on the event, call Debbie Mura at 732-278-2234 or email dmura@brookdalecc.edu.

The walk was sponsored by students in Brookdale’s The Innovation Network (TIN), a college-wide initiative that allows students to earn college credit for organizing and participating in service-learning projects.

Recent TIN projects include a benefit auction and student art show in support of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Freehold and a campus-wide “greening” initiative in Lincroft.
