Middlesex County College students in Professor Alexandra Fields’ Integrated Reading and Writing course recently partnered with the Edison Township Environmental Commission and the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership to carry out the cleanup. Students spent the fall semester studying various environmental issues and used their reading and writing skills to plan and promote the cleanup. Students collected 17 bags of trash and recyclables, along with nine tires, a suitcase, car seats and various other large trash items.
