North Brunswick promotes detective to replace retiring sergeant

NORTH BRUNSWICK – A newly appointed detective has been promoted to sergeant in the North Brunswick Police Department.

Ryan Uzunis, a township resident, was hired as a patrolman in September 2011 after working for the Milltown Police Department. He joined the North Brunswick Detective Bureau in January. He was promoted on June 25 to sergeant, since Craig Patton retired.

Uzunis graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 2002-10.
