HILLSBOROUGH: Police searching for naked man who hid in resident’s bushes

A resident living near the intersection of South Triangle Road and Triangle Road for more than they bargained for when they looked out their window this morning, as they allegedly found a naked man hiding in their bushes, according to police.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. today, the Hillsborough Township Police Department received a suspicious persons and lewdness complaint from the resident. Officials said they were told of a man, believed to be in his early 20s, who was seen hiding in bushes on the homeowner’s property.

By the time officers arrived, the individual fled northbound from the scene on a bicycle towards Triangle Road. While an immediate sweep of the area did not result in the man’s capture, police said they did find fresh bicycle tracks in a nearby yard.

Officials were unable to confirm reports on social media that the man was seen wearing a mask and cape when he was found.

Police said they are actively investigating the incident. Investigators ask that anyone with information should call the Hillsborough Township Police Department at 908-369-4323, ext. 3.
