The Monroe Township Public Library will hold two art shows with the works of the late artist George Ivers (1922-2001).

Starting Sept. 6, the first will be shown in the George Ivers Art Case, located in the main lobby of the library, 4 Municipal Plaza, Monroe. It will feature many works in porcelain, as well as sculptures in metal, wire and paper.

Then, from Oct. 8 through the end of November, the library’s Fine Arts Gallery will house more than 50 of Ivers’ oil and watercolor paintings, as well as several signed and numbered prints and etchings. All artwork will be available for sale.

Ivers was a designer for Lenox China and later the art director of Cybis Porcelains. He created all of his artwork in his home in Concordia.

Admission to both galleries is free.
