Three men sought in connection to Edison homicide near Akbar Restaurant on March 23

EDISON – Authorities are searching for three men wanted for questioning in connection to a shooting which resulted in the death of one man, and seriously injured another man, in the early morning hours of March 23.

Nahshon Brown, 31, of Newark, was pronounced dead at the scene outside Akbar Restaurant on Cortland Street in Edison. In addition, a 40-year-old man from Newark was taken to the hospital where he is currently being treated for a gunshot wound to the head but remains in stable condition, according to a joint statement released by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Thomas Bryan of the Edison Police Department on March 27.

The shooting took place at a Reggae event. Police were alerted to the shooting at approximately 1:56 a.m.

Those who provide information will be given a unique numerical code that that allows them to communicate with the program and collect a reward should their information lead to an arrest. All reward amounts are approved and set by Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County Inc.
