Bauman sang with the Mixed Chorus, an ensemble of over 300, which was conducted by Dr. Rollo Dilworth of Temple University. Bauman was one of over 50 students representing New Jersey in this ensemble.

Caplan, who intends to continue her musical studies at the collegiate level, performed with the Treble Chorus, made up of just over 100 voices led by Dr. Sandra Snow of Michigan State University. Caplan was one of 18 students representing New Jersey in this chorus.

“Students chosen for these ensembles perform remarkably challenging music,” Superintendent Dr. Robert McGarry said. “Being one of a small number of students selected from the eastern United States for this honor is truly a great accomplishment and the result of many years of hard work and exemplary participation in New Jersey’s All-State ensembles.”

Both students will perform with Holmdel’s Choral Ensembles on May 21 at 7 p.m. at the school’s spring choral concert.
