WOODBRIDGE – The newly elected council president in Woodbridge said he urges respectful dialogue among all in the New Year.

Brian Small, who was nominated to serve as council president at the Woodbridge Township Council reorganization meeting on Jan. 5, said members of the community and township officials must come together to continue making Woodbridge a great place to live.

He urged residents to work with officials and allow for discussion of points of views in order to solve any problems and/or grievances residents may have.

“Demands, divisions, disrespect only leads to erosion of trust,” he said. “We must all work together to bring back dialogue and respect into conversation. It will take time and effort by all.”

Also at the reorganization meeting, Councilman Howie Bauer was nominated to serve as council vice president.
