Princeton’s Democratic Party voters chose incumbent Princeton Council members David Cohen and Leticia Fraga to run for re-election in the Nov. 7 general election.
Cohen received 1,720 votes and Fraga received 1,726 votes in the June 6 Democratic Party primary.
The tallies are unofficial, according to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office.
The Republican Party did not field candidates to run for the two open seats.
On the Princeton Council, Cohen and Fraga serve on various committees and boards.
Cohen sits on the Princeton Council’s Finance, Infrastructure and Operations, Planning and Redevelopment and Traffic Safety committees. He also serves as the mayor’s representative to the Planning Board.
He is the liaison to the Central Jersey Forum, the Flood and Stormwater Committee, the Friends of Herrontown Woods, the Local Emergency Planning Committee and the Pedestrian and Bike Advisory Committee.
Fraga serves on the Princeton Council’s Legal, Personnel and Public Safety committees. She chairs the Public Safety Committee and is the police commissioner.
She is the liaison to the Board of Health, the Civil Rights Commission, the Human Services Commission, the Local Emergency Planning Committee and the Youth Advisory Committee.
