Hopewell Valley Emergency Services has a new Chief, and it’s someone who has worked hard to earn the role.

Chief Moore, a firefighter with over 20 years of experience, has been officially sworn in to lead the department.

He started his career with the department in 2003 as a Specialist and steadily moved up the ranks.

By 2023, he had become Deputy Chief, and now he’s ready to take on the top job.

Chief Moore has lived in Hopewell Valley most of his life.

He went to Hopewell Valley Central High School and has always been connected to the community.

Over the years, he has worked to gain important qualifications, including advanced certifications in fire science.

These certifications, in turn, show his deep knowledge of firefighting and emergency response.

Also, he is a New Jersey Certified Public Manager, which means he has strong skills in leading and organizing.

Unsurprisingly, Chief Moore’s hard work and dedication haven’t gone unnoticed—he received several Life Saving Awards throughout his career for his quick thinking and bravery in tough situations.

One of his biggest achievements was during Super Storm Sandy, when his efforts during the crisis earned him a unit citation.

At the same time, the swearing-in ceremony was a proud moment for Chief Moore and his family.

Specifically, his wife, Kate, and daughter, Emma, stood beside him as he took the oath of office, which was administered by Kevin Hart, the Fire District’s attorney.

Indeed, it was a day filled with pride and excitement for the community and the department.

Now, as Chief, Moore is focused on building on the work of former Chief Martin.

He plans to continue important programs already in place while also helping the department grow to meet the community’s needs.

He also understands that times are changing, and the department needs to keep up with new challenges.

Meanwhile, he is committed to maintaining a strong partnership with the Valley Volunteer firefighters since it has always been a key part of the department’s success.

Ultimately, Chief Moore’s promotion is great news for the community.

He is clearly experienced and deeply committed to protecting and serving the people of Hopewell Valley.

Thus, his leadership, dedication, and knowledge make him the right person to guide the department forward.

For this reason, the residents of Hopewell Valley, having someone like Chief Moore in charge, can feel relief.
