During their lunch periods April 17-19, students at the Sayreville school took fun pictures with their friends for a donation to benefit Operation Smile, which helps underprivileged children with cleft lip or cleft palate, according to information provided by fifth grade teacher Michelle Leonard.

The funds raised also include donations made during a Family Movie Night at the school where they showed “Wonder,” as well as donations from teachers.

Leonard began the fundraiser at the school a few years ago, inspired by the book “Wonder.”
