Princeton Council: Democrat incumbents face no challengers in general election

Democratic candidates will not face opposition during the general election for Princeton public offices.

Princeton’s Democratic Party voters endorsed incumbents Michelle Pirone Lambros and Mia Sacks for reelection to the Princeton Council, based on unofficial primary election results on June 7.

No one filed to seek the Republican Party nomination for the two, three-year term council seats available.

Sacks received 1,799 votes and Pirone Lambros followed with 1,762 votes.

On Council, Sacks and Pirone Lambros chair and serve on various committees and boards.

Sacks chairs the Infrastructure, Operations and Legal committees, serves as council representative to the Princeton Planning Board and serves on the Affordable Housing, Planning and Redevelopment committees and Personnel committee.

She also serves as council liaison to the Princeton Public Schools Board of Education, Sustainable Princeton, the Friends of Herrontown Wood and works with the Public Transit Advisory and Traffic Safety committees.

Pirone Lambros, who is a fire commissioner in the borough, chairs the Communications and Finance committees and serves on the Public Safety, Recreation and Economic Development committees.

She also serves as liaison to the Princeton Merchants Association and works with the Public Arts and Transit Trust Fund groups.
