Susanne Beirn, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 24 2024 at Accela Acute Post Care in Hamilton, New Jersey. She was the cherished wife of Martin J. Beirn, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage.
Born to the late Anna M. Sanders and William R. Sanders, Susanne was a devoted family woman who found immense joy in her roles as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn A. Beirn, and her husband, Jarrod, as well as her treasured granddaughter, Alyssa M. Beirn-Newbon. Susanne was predeceased by her daughter, Angela M. Beirn.
Susanne dedicated over 15 years to childcare, nurturing and guiding young minds with love and patience. She later became the camp manager at Camp Bow Wow in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where she worked for 11 years before retiring in 2019. Her colleagues and the families she served remember her fondly for her kindness and dedication.
A woman of varied interests, Susanne had a deep affection for koalas and enjoyed crocheting, bowling, and traveling. She particularly cherished trips to the Outer Banks, North Carolina, with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Susanne is also survived by her sister, Shirley Fennimore, and several nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly.
Her life was a testament to love, family, and community, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion. Susanne’s family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and honor the many ways she touched their hearts on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., with services starting at 4:30 p.m., at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
