Mentalist Joshua Kane’s Borders of the Mind is a family-friendly show for everyone. In this interactive performance, the entire audience experiences simultaneous telepathy and witnesses uncanny feats of lie detection and psychic phenomena. Kane identifies audience members with the special powers to successfully project their own thoughts and tap into their intuition. This show is for anyone who wishes they had received an invite to Hogwarts or who believes they have a superhero power that has yet to be revealed! Kane’s psychic abilities – his superpower – will help you discover your latent abilities’ – your superhero powers! This show is full of mystery, intrigue, and endless possibilities, people of all ages leap to participate in the strange happenings at the Borders of the Mind. A selected group of audience members will participate in a series of experiments on stage as the entire audience experiences feats of psychic phenomena from their seats.
As a child growing up in Westport, CT Kane was obsessed with books, magic, fire-eating, and the theatre. According to Kane – he was destined for a career on the stage, or as an international spy. In his teen years, he met Gary Lee Williams (stage performer and former bodyguard to the Dalai Lama), who mentored him in mentalism. Williams honed Kane’s power of observation and intuition, leading to a career as one of the world’s top theatrical mind readers.
In 2023 the Psychic Entertainers Association awarded Joshua, the Dunninger Memorial Award, their highest honor, “Awarded for Distinguished Professionalism in the Performance of Mentalism.” Previous recipients include The Amazing Kreskin, Derren Brown, Uri Geller, and Max Maven.
