Wallace House opened as an historic house museum in 1897 during Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. This year we mark 125 years of historic preservation at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage amidst the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

In this outdoors presentation, Queen Victoria at long last visits Wallace House and regales us with stories of her childhood, her marriage and her family while debunking popular myths about the Monarch who gave her name to the Victorian Era.

Following the presentation, Queen Victoria will light a Jubilee Beacon, recalling the signal beacons that served the Middlebrook Cantonment in the Revolutionary War and joining New Jersey to the global observance of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee across the UK and the Commonwealth of Nations.

Alisa Dupuy of the Ladies of History appears as Queen Victoria in this free outdoors presentation. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.

The Wallace House and Old Dutch Parsonage Association are dedicated supporters of Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites and offer this free presentation to the general public in celebration of 125 years of civic engagement and leadership in the historic preservation of Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage beginning with the Revolutionary Memorial Society of New Jersey in 1897.
