Born in London and having studied at Oxford University, Rupert performs an eclectic mix of acoustic, melodic art/folk, with flavors of jazz, vaudeville and cabaret. He has released twelve solo CDs for which he has received outstanding reviews in the international online press. His songs have been covered by other artists in the UK, Canada, and the US. Two full length tribute CDs to his material have been recorded: Crazy Puzzle by Nashville-based performer Roxie Rogers, and Wide Open Heart by vocalist Susan Kohler. Other artists have recorded over 20 of Rupert’s songs in 2016 alone. Find more at www.rupertwatesmusic.com. As we know from past performances, Ruperts playing is perfectly suited to the fine acoustics of the church.
Rupert will play two 40-minute sets with a 20-minute intermission with complementary food and drink. Parking is available in a lot behind the church accessible via School Place. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students and seniors 65 and older.
