American Taekwondo Association (ATA) students representing McInerney Black Belt Academies in Parlin and Old Bridge earned the title of 2016 District Champion and the right to compete in the ATA World Champions held June 27-July 3 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Michelle Grezlczak and Karolina Hanulewicz of Parlin ATA Martial Arts, as well as Atzamarath Garcia, Ishaan Khetarpal, Rogelio Odejar, Ulyses Paiz, Anner G. Reyes, Anthony Rio and Loyda Rodriguez of the Old Bridge ATA Academy achieved first-place victories at the June 4 Northeast District Championships. Because of their accomplishments, many of these students have qualified to compete against the top martial artists from around the world and the opportunity to wear red World Champion letters on the back of their taekwondo uniforms.
