To the Editor:

Hopewell Township has made some minor changes to its website to make it even easier for everyone to stay informed about township activities.  The website, www.hopewelltwp.org, is accessible on any computer, tablet or smartphone.

To find Hopewell Township Committee meeting agendas and materials, click the “Agenda Center” button on the Township’s homepage, scroll to “Township Committee” and select the meeting date. Agendas and materials for township meetings since 2014 are posted.  Minutes are posted after approval by the Hopewell Township Committee.

Agendas and materials are posted by the Friday before a Monday meeting. The agenda is subject to change.

Agendas for other township committees, boards and commissions, as well as recordings, can also be found by clicking the “Agenda Center” button and scrolling to the committee, board or commission.

I encourage residents to attend Hopewell Township Committee meetings in person. The meetings are usually held on the first and third Monday of the month and start at 7 p.m. Committee meetings are broadcast on Comcast Channel 95 and Verizon Channel 30. Meetings are also carried live through the township’s website. Scroll to “Quick Links” and click the “Live Stream Public TV” link to watch.

Videos of Hopewell Township Committee meetings are posted several days after the meeting. Scroll to “Quick Links” and click “Township Committee Video Library.” Videos are listed with the most recent meeting at the top of the list. Township Committee meetings are rebroadcast on Comcast Channel 95 and Verizon Channel 30 on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 5:30 p.m. following a meeting until the next committee meeting.

To connect to the township’s Facebook pages as well as Instagram, click the Instagram and Facebook icons under “Social Media” on the township’s homepage. There are separate Facebook pages for the township, the health department, and the police department.

To receive information about upcoming meetings and events by email, click the “Notify Me” button and follow the directions. In addition, the township has partnered with SwiftReach Networks as an emergency notification provider.  To sign up, scroll to “Quick Links” and click “Register for Swift911.”

If you have any ideas to make the Township’s website even better, please contact Teresa Castellon at tcastellon@hopewelltwp.org.

Sincerely,
Michael Ruger
