A 27-year-old East Windsor woman was charged on outstanding warrants and was also charged with obstruction of justice after she allegedly ran away from a police officer who attempted to speak to her about the warrants Aug. 13. She was later apprehended in the Royal Plaza parking lot. She was processed and released.

A 42-year-old Hightstown man was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to observe a traffic signal and being an unlicensed driver Aug. 13. Police conducted a motor vehicle stop after the man allegedly failed to stop for a red traffic signal on Route 33. He allegedly showed signs of impairment and was charged after failing field sobriety tests. He was processed and released.

A 23-year-old Hightstown man was charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest after he allegedly left Walmart on Route 130 without paying for $150 worth of merchandise Aug. 13. When police attempted to apprehend him, he allegedly resisted. He was processed and released.

A 25-year-old Monroe Township man was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and careless driving after the car he was driving allegedly struck the rear bumper of a car stopped at a traffic light on Route 33 at Route 133 Aug. 10. He allegedly showed signs of impairment and was charged after failing field sobriety tests. He was processed and released.

A 58-year-old Cranbury man was charged with driving under the influence, failure to submit to a breath test, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and speeding after a police officer observed the car he was driving allegedly weaving on Route 130 Aug. 5. The driver allegedly showed signs of impairment and was charged after failing field sobriety tests. He was processed and released.

A 38-year-old Hightstown man was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane after a police officer noticed the car he was driving allegedly weaving on Route 33 Aug. 4. He allegedly showed signs of impairment and was charged after failing field sobriety tests. He was processed and released.
