Alexandra Donnadio, a detective with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and resident of Hillsborough, is one of three up-and-coming TV-star chefs to challenge renowned Chef David Burke in a Live Cook-off dinner series that begins March 10.
The Live-Cook-off Series: “Beat Chef David Burke” will be held at THE GOAT by David Burke in Union Beach.
Sunday, March 10: Lauren Van Liew, Food Network Chopped Champion
Sunday, March 24: Casey Webb, Cooking Channel, Man v. Food
Sunday April 7: Alexandra Donnadio, Fox, Next Level Chef
It will be a relaxing, social dinner for those who attend, but a heated, yet friendly, competition between New Jersey’s latest celebrity guest chefs and Burke, according to the press release.
The live competition begins will begin at 4:30 p.m.
The chefs’ will use their creativity as they devise dishes on-the-spot highlighting flavor profiles and presentation of a mystery ingredient.
There will be a three-judge panel – two randomly selected ticket holders – and a local dignitary will judge the cooking competition.
The event will start at 4 p.m. with a reception with passed hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, mingling and a brief question and answer. The three-course dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. with table snacks fired up in THE GOAT’s special wood-fired oven, then an appetizer, a main and a dessert will follow while the chef competitions take place for a superbly unique, exciting dinner and a show! About the Challenging Chefs
Chef Lauren Van Liew is a two-time Food TV Network champion, winning “Chopped Champion” and “Supermarket Stakeout.” Lauren runs Chef Covas Catering in Monmouth County, sharing her life-long love of food through creative events.
Casey Webb is celebrated TV host of Cooking Channel’s “Man vs. Food.” Webb attempts to consume large dishes in a competition style at various restaurants across the United States – he has referred to the challenges as a “sport.” He remained host of the series when it made the move from the Travel Channel to the Cooking Channel. Webb’s run with the series has also been aired on the Food Network. In his second season with the series, Fox News called him “TV’s monumental eater.” In addition to his own show, he has also appeared on the series Beat Bobby Flay and Santa’s Baking Blizzard, according to the press release.
Alexandra Donnadio is a detective with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and resident of Hillsborough.
