Ella “Allie” V. DiSabatino, 99, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children on Friday, September 27, 2024 in Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in Hamilton.
Born in Bridgeport, WV, Ella was a longtime Hamilton area resident. In her younger years, she worked on the line at Circle F. Later in life, Mrs. DiSabatino worked as a custodian for the State of New Jersey, retiring after 19 years of service. Ella’s most cherished work was being a wife and mother of four. In her free time, she loved to visit Atlantic City and play the slot machines. She also enjoyed horse racing and dancing at Club Rendezvous with her husband, Albert, to Bobby Darin’s “Mack the Knife”. She attended weekly bingo at the Colonial Firehouse and enjoyed watching old movies, including horror, along with gameshows and Walker Texas Ranger. She was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Ella loved to prepare a weekly Sunday dinner for her children and their spouses, family meant the world to her.
Predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Lucia (Pappalardo) Coniglio; her husband, Albert J. DiSabatino; her son, Dominick DiSabatino; her four brothers, Frank, Charles, Joseph and Samuel Coniglio, and her four sisters, Josephine Cianciola, Rose Eso, Mary Cravotta and Elizabeth Pica; she is survived by her three daughters, Pauline Persicketti and her husband, John, of Hamilton Square, Lucy Sanderson and her husband, Gary, of Levittown, PA, and Josephine Graf and her husband, Carl, of Columbus; her five grandchildren, Jamie Alphonse and her husband, Anthony, John Persicketti and his wife, Vanessa, Kyle Graf and his wife, Hannah, Marissa Bick and her husband, Tom, and Keara Sanderson; her seven great-grandchildren, James, Marley and Meadow Alphonse, Lydia and Castiel Graf, Isabella Persicketti and Lucien Bick, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2024 at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 626 South Olden Ave, Trenton, NJ.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
