Read & Pick is an innovative program that combines hands-on farm activity with your young child followed by an education program with stories highlighting the fruit or farm area.
For this program, young farmers are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about vegetables. See how one of our amazing first spring crop grows! We will be reading the books about vegetables followed by an educational component. Then everyone will pick his or her own small container of asparagus. Our farm staff will explain how vegetables grow and how they should be picked.
The cost is $12.00 per child and includes the container of asparagus. Tuesdays have 9:30 am and 11 am sessions, lasting about one hour.
