Races decided for East Windsor council, school board and Hightstown council

Democrat Denise Daniels defeated Republican Richard Avallone for a one-year unexpired term on the East Windsor Township Council.
Ms. Daniels had 6,405 votes and Mr. Avallone had 3,276 in unofficial vote totals according to the Mercer County Clerk’s website.
In the race for East Windsor Regional School Board, Christine Harrington with 3,792 votes, Ram. K. Ramachandran with 2,121 votes and Roger Power with 2,023 votes each won a three-year term on the board. They came out ahead of challengers Nicole LaRusso with 1,909 votes, Erica DiRaimondo with 1,746 votes and Robert P. Laverty with 1,553 votes.
In a race that was unchallenged, both Democratic incumbents retained seats on the Hightstown Borough Council. Denise Hansen garnered 1,451 votes and Steven Misiura got 1,449 votes. 
