Candlelight ‘Messiah’ will return to St. Mary’s

The St. Mary Chamber Orchestra and Choral Society will present its annual candlelight Handel’s “Messiah” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at St. Mary Church, 256 Augusta St., South Amboy.

The concert, set in the church’s Victorian-Gothic architectural surroundings, will be performed under the direction of Maestro Christopher M.C. Deibert. A portion of the work will be presented in its entirety, along with excerpts from the second and third parts.

Admission is free of charge; however, a donation of $15 would be appreciated.
