Brooklyn man charged with narcotics possession

A 38-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y., man was charged with drug possession after a police officer responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Windsor Center Drive April 13, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

The officer met with the driver and determined there were no issues with the vehicle, but the man showed signs of recent narcotics use, police said.

The man was arrested after he failed field sobriety tests. The officer searched the man and found suspected heroin and suspected cocaine in his possession.

He was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance – one count for heroin and one count for cocaine – and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

He was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, failure to exhibit a driver’s licenses and parking distance to curb.

He was processed and released.
