I read Barbara Bucker’s editorial letter of Jan. 14 (‘Think red’ when voting for president) with sadness. She states that she will be voting for Donald Trump in the presidential election. She claims that the enemy is all around us and that the enemy could even be our paperboy or girl. Mr. Trump appeals to our bottommost fears, asking us to hate our neighbors to the point where someone would even hate little children. Doesn’t the Bible ask us to “love thy neighbor?” Mr. Trump’s motto should be “Making America Hate Again.” Nothing great about that.
